Purpose:
The purpose of the Little Flower Faith Formation Program is to provide Faith Formation classes for members of Little Flower Parish from kindergarten age through adults.  The Faith Formation Program also includes 1) a Youth Group for high school age teens, 2) faith formation classes for adults including those who wish to be confirmed, and 3) an RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) for those inquiring about the Catholic faith and seeking Baptism, and those adults who have been baptized but have not received the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
All sacramental programs for children and youth (Baptism, Penance and Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation) are two year programs.
All students, K-8, who are attending public schools should be enrolled in Religious Education/Faith Formation classes every year beginning with kindergarten.  The usual two year preparation for Penance and Holy Eucharist is in grades 2 and 3, with First Holy communion being done at the end of the third grade year.
All high school students should be attending Religious Education/Faith formation classes.  The usual two year preparation program for the Sacrament of Confirmation is in grades 9 and 10, with Confirmation being conferred at the end of the second year.
Adult Faith Formation classes are held during the same time as the classes for children and youth.  Adult Faith Formation classes will meet requirements for those wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
