This is the place where some of my fondest memories took place. From kinder through 8th grade, Mrs. Jimenez to Mr. McHale. The October Rose festivals and the 8th grade haunted house in the church basement. Even volleyball in the parking lot so our tennis shoes wouldn't scuff up the gym floor! Going to school and church here was amazing. It's been about 16 years but I remember it like it was yesterday.

I used to walk to the Little Flower with my Grandmother from our house. We used to leave at 4 to make the 5:30 mass. Funny how this was accepted practice and she never expected a ride. After mass we went to Tia Marys for breakfast and that toast she made in the broiler! What memories! Thank you!

PERSONLY TESTIMONY( Prophet Per Einar Jensen) on board. The doctor called and stopped me because of my badly nerves. Short time afterwards the boat went down with 16 men on board and all drowned. The doctor stopped me led by God's spirit. A few months after I mustered on a polar vessel who where going to the West ice on sealing. There was a storm and we lay inside the thick ice and when we tried to get out, the propeller on the boat where damaged. God sent a boat to help called: "Salvador" and it means salvation. I love this church and all of its religious History. I have been blessed to have had all of my sacraments made at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Seguin, Texas my home town. I know wish to make the basillica my home church. Please pray for my grandfather who recently passed and for the health of my ill sister Vangelina Salazar. She really needs some prayer as her condition worsen as she gets older. She has Type 1 diabetes and has had it she she was the young age of 9. I ask that you just keep her in your prayer. I love the website. I lived on Waverly St. and my grandparents, Carlos and Bernadina Tovar. They lived at 815 Kentucky. There was a marvelous Bakery on the oposite corner from the Basilica. I was baptized right after my birth in 1956, attended the school, and made my Holy Communion at Little Flower. Both my father and uncle attended the school, too. The Principle was Sister Augustine at the time. Great church and school!

Beautiful job creating this website. When I was a little boy, I lived at 717 Kentucky Avenue with my grandmother. It was only a few blocks away and we always walked to The Little Flower for mass. I was baptized there on August 9, 1949. What a wonderful Catholic Church!
